Snagit for Mac lets you easily capture screenshots and videos anytime you need through the app's intuitive interface. The compact controls are always available on the side of your screen, and you just have to select the kind of shot you want, and you're good to go.
The other major difference found in using Image mode is that your Share options are different. It’s fairly obvious why the printing options aren’t available in AiO mode – printing a video would be… time consuming, to say the least – but it would be nice to have the Email option more widely available.

Although Mac OS X includes its own screen capture short cuts and free tools (i.e. Grab and Preview) to perform basic image editing and annotation it still comes up short when compare to Snagit. After all these screen capture methods are pretty simple. Snagit ties it all together into one easy to use powerful capture and edit tool making it a worthy investment especially if you’ve used it as long as I have in Windows.
